Hey Everyone I am new here.
I have 2013 Passat tdi that has a fuel pressure issues. I have swap the rail reg, fuel temp sensor, fuel metering valve, ECU, engine wiring harness and fuel injectors.
It's throwing a P0191 - Implausible Signal. Which I think points to a bad rail pressure sensor. I swapped the sensor and no difference in performance leading to the above part canon list....
There is a voltage dip at a consistent interval at any RPM or load. It seems like the voltage rail is getting shorted to GND or pulled to GND by a controller at a relatively consistent interval. At the voltage dip the metering valve on top of the high pressure pump make a clicking noise (like a solenoid getting slammed closed or open). After replacing the metering valve nothing changes. I'm not sure if this is a cause or affect from the ECU reading a bad sensor. But I assume the P0191 is from the voltage dipping to the low threshold throwing the code. The fuel pressure control deviation is all over the place. I have checked and cleaned all GND points...
Has anyone dealt with something like this before?
What sensors is the ECU reading to stay running?
Does the ECU supply these sensor voltage?
I have VCDS but I'm not very good at using it. The car is also deleted.
Thanks a bunch for any input!
