Hi, ive changed the instrument cluster due to mine being faulty, but i have had issues with immobiliser, abs etc, all throwing faults up and car wont start. How do i progrm my exchange clocks so that they are replicating my original faulty ones.zo that the car is fine and errpr free. Thanks in advance

You don't, at least not with VCDS. A 2009 Golf is Immo 4c. The proper way to do this is with ODIS, on-line to to VW's servers. The alternative is to use specialized "locksmith" tools that use back-door techniques, or to send both clusters out to someone who can transfer the identity of the failed one to the replacement.

Would it be possible to just code out the immobiliser and then use the donor clocks, and if not what is the locksmith tools back door method. Would otbe possible to do thos myself.

Thanks

Nope - You wont be able to any of this yourself. Would not be worth your while to spend £ thousands on the machinery.

Odis is the clever way to do the job - Quick Easy Accurate and done as long as your new cluster is the right one and not registered stolen.

Locksmith is a good way - Again done and no security / stolen checks.

Cloning the data from the old to the new will work. Specialist tools and knowhow.

As for deleting the immo - could work but its not going to be cheaper than the other ways. Yes a locksmith possibly can do that for you.

UWE just gave you answer, VCDS can not program Immobilizer on this car. But after you program Immobilizer you will be able to adopt ABS with VCDS.
