Hello everybody. My first post here, I tried searching for a solution but didn't find any, so apologies if this issue is already discussed in another thread. In that case, please point me to the correct place and I'll continue there.

In any case, I bought a 2017 Audi Q7 e-tron about 5 months ago. It has about 180000 km or about 115000 miles on it. There is a persistent P20EE - Scr catalyst efficiency too low error code.

So far it has been to the shop twice, the first NOx sensor has been swapped twice, ECU was updated to the latest software version, Ad-blue injector was cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner, Ad-blue quality and amount has been verified, Ad-blue injector spray pattern and injection amount has been verified. Still the same issue remains. I have taken logs with vcds a couple of times and it looks like the ppm readings for 1st and 2nd NOx sensor are pretty much the same and the ad-blue injection isn't activated. Yesterday I did the forced particle filter regeneration. It was completed but the result was "malfunction" with three new error codes. Before the regen burn, I only got the P20EE code always about 60 miles after clearing it.

I'm fresh out of ideas to try next. Mind You, I haven't gotten the doom countdown yet. Check engine light will light up always after about 60-70 miles after clearing codes but otherwise the car seems to work just fine.

Get your particle filter cleaned. I suspect with that P2463 code, the system won't even try to inject the ad-blue.

It's a little weird, I have had this car for 5 months and about 10k kilometers. The P20EE code has been present the whole time, it can be cleared and stays away for a day or two but always comes back eventually. The other three codes for excessive soot and low pressure only came up when doing the forced regeneration.

I'll take it to the dealer monday next week. My guess also is that the cat is dead or "full". It is after all a plugin hybrid with the diesel engine running short cycles, never reaching temperatures high enough to actually burn clean.

Under full acceleration Nox 1 should read double or more than Nox 2 (PPM) due to the cleaning process Catalyst.
In cases where the fault codes is being set, Nox 1 incorrectly reads the PPM lower than the actual value which in turn sets the efficiency code and the ecu is looking at the offset value of 1 and 2
Often the wrong sensor is changed due this 'weird' temperature difference.

No exhaust leaks, that has also been verified twice now. The first NOx sensor (located in engine bay just next to the ad-blue injector) has been replaced twice now. The 2nd NOx sensor is under the car, that hasn't been replaced yet. It communicates and shows pretty much the same ppm readings as the 1st one.

I have recorded logs of the operation on a separate computer, does this forum platform support .xls files or how should I attach them?

its not possible that both sensors give the same values (in a perfect driving faultless car)

You can make a screenshot with the knippy tool in Windows of the values and past it as an image

Screenshot from middle of the log attached. About 10 minutes in at that point.

That P20E8 code for pressure only came up first time when doing the forced regen. When doing the test with VCDS Basic Settings, the injector works just fine. The spray pattern is okay and the amount of ad-blue injected is within spec.

Still, with that said, everything sure does point to no ad-blue being injected, I'm not completely sure if that IDE03131 is the correct parameter to log for injector duty cycle but it shows 0% through the log which would explain why there is no reduction in nox.

I'm not sure what "dpf load specs" mean, I have the pressure differential readings from a previous test.

6hPa difference at idle
44hPa with raised revs

I have cleared the codes something like ten times now during the last five months. P20EE always comes back after about 60 miles and lights up the CE light in the dash.

I have 30 years of experience with VAG cars, both professional and hobby-wise. These ad-blue/scr faults are notoriously difficult to pin down and unfortunately it often ends in just replacing parts until the ecu is happy.

I've fixed many adblue systems, as you've said they are hard to pin down.

From those faults i would think the pump isn't working correctly, therefore the Nox isn't being reduced enough and its triggering the efficiency and rear nox codes.

Your measured pressure for the pressure fault is 70hpa = 1psi should be 80psi+

My thoughts exactly. What puzzles me is that the pump and injector work when doing the individual tests. If the pump is at fault, I presume it's integrated into the adblue tank and we are back to replacing parts.

Well it may pump when tested on VCDS, but it may not be pumping enough. From the pressure reading something is wrong.

The pump on that model sits in the bottom of the tank, it is available separate comes off the tank via a locking at the base. Expensive though around £700 here in UK.

Have you carried out a pressure test via VCDS ?

Thank You, that is valuable information. I haven't done the pressure test myself, the car was at an reputable indy shop a couple of weeks ago. The report lists pressure as being tested and ok.

If it's 700 pounds there, it will easily be over 1000€ here in Finland. But that would be ok, it has now been to the shop twice already with the bill racking to about 3000€ for parts and labour, with the same fault remaining.
