Updated the Hex-Net, which completed successfully, but it's still saying "Updated ROD data needed"

As the title says, I successfully updated the Hex-Net using CONFIG in VCDS. All went along smoothly. Once the device finished updating, I'm still getting the same message, "Updated ROD data needed". The device could not be found after the update, and I couldn't complete a test. I kept unplugging it from either the MacBook or the vehicle, never both at the same time. I ended up disconnecting from both while I searched the forums and thankfully found the FIRMWARE thread. So accidentally did the right thing.
The device connects fine now, both via wired (a USB C - USB A adaptor works fine) and AP mode.
But it is still asking for updated ROD data.

Is this normal?
Also is there a timed connection limit to AP mode?
I was doing a full VCDS Adaptation and Coding backup over AP mode and at about 20 mins the connection went down. I just used the wired method and all was fine.
Thanks

I mentioned this a few weeks back; I think @Shaun is working on it. But as you mentioned , and myself included, otherwise all works fine.
Sorry, I did search on the forums, but I must have missed it. Will keep an eye out for the update.

If you switch your interface to the 'beta' channel on the advanced tab of VCIConfig, you can see if that channel has the rods that you need.
