Hello, recently I've been finishing up a retrofit of B8 Audi S4 seats in my Mk6 Golf Wagon. I've successfully adapted the wiring harnesses for both seats, including all of the airbag and PODS plugs. I was able to get the airbag light to go out by following the AirbagVW10 basic settings procedures, but the "Passenger Airbag OFF" light does not seem to be functioning. My airbag control module has zero codes, and the sensors seem to be showing appropriate numbers in advanced measuring values.
As you can see here, the pressure sensor and the seatbelt tensioner sensor both work perfectly. The pressure sensor reads about 40 when nobody is sitting in the seat, and 244 when a full weight adult is sitting in it. Right now it's reading 218 from me sitting in it. However, the occupation status should say "light adult" like it does on my old seat, but instead it says "not defined".
Below is a photo of the PODS controller I installed, taken from a Mk5 Jetta at the junkyard (I wanted to keep my old PODS controller with my old seats so that I could sell them as fully intact):

When I first key on the car, the "OFF" light is out, and then it blinks a few times and then fully turns on to be as you see in the picture above. This seems to match the stock pattern, where whenever the light is changing state it will blink a few times before settling. This does imply that the light still has communication with the airbag module.

Please let me know what you guys think, and if there is a way to either A) fix the light so that I have OEM passenger occupancy recognition, and I can trust the airbags to deploy for my passengers in a crash or B) recode my passenger airbag to be always-on (I know Australian market cars do this). OEM functionality with the light working would be really nice. I think the issue lies in the occupancy status being "not defined" in measuring values, which doesn't make sense when the pressure sensor is operating normally.
P.S.: Here's a photo of the seats in the car! I got them (including the backseats) at the junkyard for only $160, which I think is a steal. I love how they look:
Installing the backseats is probably going to be a custom upholstery adventure, but I'd like to fix the PODS issue first. I also still need to wire up the heating control module, but that is a project I will undertake later, when I have the time.
