I have a 2009 Touareg with the 3.0 TDI engine, and it has an adblue "death countdown" that will not reset that I am trying to fix.
I took it to the dealer, and they wanted to replace the rear NOx sensor, but I suspect they just didn't warm the engine up enough, as the sensor is OEM and under 2 years old, so I brought back the car to diagnose and fix on my own. They told me they were seeing a reading from the front NOx sensor, but not the rear one.
However, I cannot seem to read either sensor with VCDS. There are 4 channels in "Advanced Measuring Values" marked as NOx sensors (129-3, 129-4, 229-3, and 229-4) and they always read "NOX-S1 1", "NOX-S2 1", 0.0, and 0.0 respectively even after driving 20 minutes on the freeway to warm them up.
I suspect that there aren't correct maps for this vehicle for these channels, as there are a huge number of measuring block outputs that obviously represent various sensors, but are unlabled in the system when I page through them.
Any idea how to figure out where to read the NOx sensors on this car? There is a lot of info out there, but it almost all seems to apply only to later UDS T3 Touaregs.

If desired, I can go through everything else I have done to diagnose this issue (or see link here at ClubTouareg), but I have confirmed that the adblue injector output and pressure are correct, the injector is clean and sprays well, the output test resulted in 26ml and 4.9 bar, the tank is full with new DEF, and the fill level is set. MVB 174.1 reads "100" - registering that the tank is full.
