Hello. As part of ongoing modifications to my 08 Passat, I have wanted to relocate the battery to the trunk ever since swapping to the 02Q 6-speed manual that is painted plumb purple. It can't be seen well from above due to the existing battery tray location in the engine compartment, and it makes little things like shift linkage adjustments and swaps a little more time consuming. There are other reasons I want the battery in the trunk, like heat, but the bottom line is that I stumbled across an 06 Passat in the junk yard and pulled the 3C0971227C wiring set which has the 8P0937548A pyro activated Battery Master/Isolation Switch. The manuals I have so far either do not directly address where on the J519 the Isolation Switch connects, and I don't know if my 08 Passat is already wired for it to properly operate when connected to the J519 and if it needs coding even if the existing wiring harness has the proper connections. So I will state the questions below and ask if anyone can point me in the location of info and documentation I need to figure this out quicker.
1. Where does the single wire from the Isolation Switch connect to on the J519?
2. Does anyone know if my Passat (info below) is wire to work with the Switch?
3. If my Passat is wired to work with the Switch, will I need to code for proper function?
