Hi All, After recently having some crash damage repaired by a non VW Workshop.
The "Adaptive Cruise Control Radar" was replaced.
Since then I have noticed the I can no longer turn off ESP (to stop the wheels spinning while in Mud/Snow)
Method used to turn off ESP
Ignition ON, then Warning lights ON, then depress the gas pedal 5 times = ESP OFF
It worked in the past but not any more?

Could this be connected to the Auto repair? (new ACC unit)
No faults found by VCDS

A different dataset in the ACC should not have any influence on this, as this is a development function in the ESP and not meant for end users in the first place. Safety checks etc. are usually limited at best for these scenarios. Most likely we're looking at a user error here.

The part number, software and hardware level is identical. So either you are looking at different scans than we are or there is some communication error in this thread. 😉

:D haha... I love it. I wish it was, that would be an easy fix. In the mean time I've been back to the Workshop that did the work, as expected have no clue.:cool:
Two of there Mechanics/workers also tried the procedure (after checking online YouTube videos) to no avail :thanks:

Does one think a diagnostic by a VW Dealer would find the fault.

The different ACC dataset has a Bit that enable/disable this function.

Because of updated EU regulation this is diasabled now as Standard.

The size of this dataset is very small, so there is a good Chance to find that Bit and reactivate it.

What I don't get is the new "EU regulation" which prevents this funtion?
Is this the case on new cars too? So no one will be able to turn off ESP?

Not really New, since some years it is so, Cars willbe delivered without that, for older Cars which have it, it will be turned Off when this Cars get a ECU configuration ( when unit replacement, accident repair etc.)

If you find a T6 which is Made for a Land outside EU, i can try to get the dataset for it ( with active esp Off function ) , then it can be loaded to your Car, or the differences between Datasets can be checked and yours can be modified.
A VIN of outside T6, which has ACC, is needed.

Don't think ESP off will be handled in a ACC Dataset as cars without can't be configured. Also in the MQB Dataset there is no cinfiguration for it.
This is a ESP Software related thing. But in my experience this function wasn't available in Transporter cars in past

Yes it is or was 100% I used it in Winter 2023, after seeing the YouTube video on how deactivate in 2022 (which I tested immediately after seeing the video)
