Ive read online that an adaptation needs to be performed after changing the fuel rail sensor, which I did, along with the entire family of fuel system components.
Does anyone have a link for this procedure?

See Basic Settings of your VCDS screen on address 01 ..or in Adaptations. Might have to use a login first to perform such an action

I think it's Adaptation channel 117, New Value -> 1 -> Test -> Save.

I went to Engine, then Long Adaptation but there isn't anything listed on channel 117. Is there another way to enter this new part?

It's a dealer option only. I called my local dealer and confirmed. I just made an appointment for next week.

Stop right there !!

Where is the Autoscan ??

And what was the reason for replacing those components ??

Perhaps an Autoscan showing the faults that led to that ?

What is the back story here ??

Yes, I had a stored value of 0, when I attempted to change it to 1, when I hit test it would reset to 0.
How did you put 1 in New Value? Did you type it, or did you use [Up] button next to it? What happened with the field labelled Test Value?
