First post hoping I can figure this out I have used the Ross tech to fix a few things by searching the various forms but regardless.

So my 10/03 build steel suspension treg has had codes for the ride height sensors (reading implausible)since I bought it. Now last weekend I got around to changing them. Arnott aftermarket sensors from FCP euro. Rear R&R went smooth. Front two pins on the connector for sensor had turned to green dust. So I ordered up a new connector and re pinned the connector appropriately using solder and heat shrink to make the connection on the wires. Finished up the job set it down on the ground. Codes wouldn't clear from either headlight. So I doubled down bought wiring diagrams from ALLDATA and went after it with my multi meter. I got good power and ground to both level sensors the confusion I have is I have 12 volt on the signal wire with either headlight plugged in But not otherwise. It's not equipped with the leveling system due to it being steel suspension. I have verified fuses and such cleaned suspicious ground g640? Can't remember the number at the moment. I have .1 ohm resistance between sensor and headlight ground pins to body ground I have .1 ohm resistance between the signal wire sensor pins and headlight pins.

I am going open to posting wiring diagrams if I can figure out how to post them (I have OE diagrams and aftermarket ALLDATA diagrams)

I am also open to posting anything from the vagcom (I'm unsure if I'm using it to the full extent)

Thank you in advance for the help

Please start by posting an Auto-Scan so people can see how the vehicle is equipped and configured, and what faults are present.

Please don't post whole wiring diagrams; that would be copyright infringement, but snippets relevant to problems you're trying to address would be "fair use". See also:
