Golf mk5 rear passenger door "no responce from controller"

hi all,

Changed doors on my mk5 golf, i initially did the front one where i disconnected the battery and replaced it as you would, then the rear was changed by my brother where i'd forgotten to tell him to disconnect battery, after installation the rear door does not lock, the prior one did lock however the window didnt work, while now the replacement doesn't not lock but window works intermittently(could be just a switch) now the only error i get is no response from controller, ive switched the original door back on, tried the 3 different locks albeit one was a amazon chinese one and i've also tried different window modules. wiring looks fine i cant see any breaks. Fues is fine have tested it and the other rear door does work.
