This is what tells you what is wrong: 20-High Beam Assist. -- Status: Not registered 0001

So there is a module installed, but not registered to the can gatway. Sometimes it will give you some kind error saying 'additional installations detected' or Mehrverbau (same, but German).

Like downtime said, add it to the gateway installation list and you're good to go.

I believe every day is a school day, but I accept I should have watched the helpful video for first time posting. But as I was posting at 3 in the morning (local time) I did not want to turn up the volume and wake up my kid

I was wondering why 20-High Beam Assist. -- Status: Not registered 0001 was showing as this but did not display fault codes down below.

I am happy to report that by following the instructions as downtime suggested the fault code for the control module is now gone and both the status for the CAN gateway and high beam assist are now OK. I have added the auto-scan hopefully correctly as a code now and understood how to sort out the issue when a module is installed but not registered to the CAN gateway.

PS: Hopefully I have also learnt about code-wrapping the auto-scan and the edit features.

Both DTC's are pretty clear, both electrical issues. Proceed accordingly with further electrical testing.

Unfortunately I am a complete novice and have zero clue about where and how to begin. Does it mean physically testing the the wirings to the speaker and the antena and testing the speaker and antena themself? And how do I do that? I appreciate all of the friendly members bearing with me

Update after a week for people who may come across this problem

I bought an inexpensive third party GPS antenna from eBay

And swapped it with the built in GPS and after clearing the fault code, it has not come back. This has also solved the problem of 0 satellites in the SatNav and a wrong position of the SatNav thinking I am in the middle of an ocean.

Those 3rd party antennas are a bit iffy

Agreed. Partially dropping the headliner is not for the faint of heart - there's a lot of interior trim that typically has to be removed first, and they're all easy to break.
