New to the Forum. New to VCDS. Old school Air Cooled VW Guy. Appreciate any help I can get.
Just bought a "used" Audi Q7 with 120,000km. Well maintained with records.
Has one weird history issue....previous Owner may have punctured the wiring for the cellular antenna when they pushed a Remembrance Day poppy pin into the headliner and dealer really discouraged investigating repair due to complications pulling headliner/sunroof etc apart. (as the story goes). SOS malfunction code showed up after I got it, however everything functions fine. SOS call works and no other MMI/Multimedia issues at all. It makes me a bit skeptical about the wiring being damaged...but again that's just part of the story.
I'm looking at any option to delete or program out the warning from the dash/display.
When I run the scan it shows the antenna issue on module 19
I've tried a few things to clear the warning based on similar issues Audi had on other models with the 3G/LTE and Telematics module lockups/software isues with no success. After googling for days I have found that it may be possible to disable the warning in the Telematics module 75. The problem is, I am unable to access module 75 using the HEX-V2 and VCDS. Maybe it is protected/secured or maybe there is something I am doing incorrectly.
The only thing I haven't tried is to disconnect the battery to reset the Telematics module (if that's even a good idea) or to pull the fuse for the module (which does not even seem to be in the fuse block (x 2 locations) - "Telephone" according to my Owners manual.
