Can't access some addresses

I've done an autoscan and then when I go to clear codes I can't access certain addresses.. It just times out. Anyone have any ideas why?

I'm going to assume this pertains to a Mk1 Golf and the addresses in question are 8124-App server 1 system 2 Java and 8125-App server 3 system 1 infotaint. In that case, totally normal, nothing to worry about.

It's an A6 allroad and I can't access the engine address or the air suspension electrics etc.. Managed to access abs and clear faults but a few just time out..

Still no model year... is it a 1999 or a 2025? Put yourself in the shoes of the people trying to assist you. If at all possible, post an autoscan from VCDS.

The autoscan is fine, I've included photos of the time out error I get when accessing certain addresses..

I've added it although I didnt think it was relevant when my question was more about using VCDS..
I get timeout when trying to access individual addresses..

Help me out here. Your screenshots show timeouts on addresses 61, 45 and 4B, which are clearly absent from the autoscan you finally posted. Are you really trying to access control modules that don't exist in your car and wondering why they're timing out?

I forgot to screenshot when it wasn't allowing me I to the engine Address.. it was timing out on address 46 as well..

OK now we finally may have the issue described correctly :-) One last thing to try, connect a battery charger or start the engine assuming that poor battery is still able. Your voltage at 11.2V may be too low for a reliable connection.

It's a brand new battery but may be low as I haven't given it a run out yet, need to change the broken level sensor tomorrow..

You should have seen all the error codes before I changed it! It had gone into energy management mode and shut down many functions..
