Quick question on generator load mvb

Hi,

In the engine module there is an advanced measuring block called Generator Load but whether the engine is idling or with full revs the value doesn't change from 0%.

As I understand it its the dfm wire that connects from the alternator to the bcm and ecu which is wired correctly and I can see voltage on it when backprobed.

Is this option only available on certain models?

I don't think this car has the means for the ECU to actually monitor generator load.

I also don't get access to the fuel pressure basic settings

My guess is you have to reset it first in Adaptations, but I do not recommend messing with it unless you have a good reason to, and certainly not while there are obvious, unrelated faults.

What's the back-story here; how did the ECU get to be "Incorrectly Coded"?

Thanks for the reply.

I've done an engine swap in my Caddy from SDI BST to TDI CBAB and wired it all in and only have one error code which is the ECU one.

The immobiliser has been disabled on the ecu which is causing this and the G70, lights etc are all unplugged which is why theres a few dtcs.

The main issue is with boost and the MAP sensor (glowplug light flashing)

I took a video of a few tests I did with the MAP sensor unplugged which lets me complete the turbo basic settings without issue.

It's hard to explain but hopefully someone can spot something.

I've confirmed voltages at the map plug, tried a new map even though its actually working as it showing boost increasing and checked every ecu pin to every plug for continuity.


Absolutely bonkers why its doing this.
