2015 Audi Q7 3.0T

Replaced the battery in the ole girl today. Replaced the AutoCraft H8 with a Duralast Platinum H9. Install went smooth, until it came time to do the battery adaptation. Using the VCDS, and following their instructions (youtube link) I was able to get to the correct screen (non-UDS CAN Gatway instructions) to enter all the info. The problem is when I put the new values in and then select TEST, the original values populate the Test Value line, not the new values I am entering. It should put the new values I entered. I am not sure why it won't take the value. I tried it multiple times. I made sure that I entered enough values for each part of the new values, extra spaces cause the new battery part number is only 10 digits, when the computer needs 11. And I made sure zeros were entered as zeros and O's where entered in a O's Anyone run into this issues and what did you end up doing to solve the issues?

So I just changed the part number of the long code I am entering and it took it. Only problem is I the part number I switched to is listed for a betterywith 105aH. Battery I put in says it is a 100aH battery. (Both part numbers are listed as reference numbers for the linked battery. But do I trust it?

After Putting in the altered code as 000915105CF JCB 20250309DT (made up from [Coss-Ref# found online] [manf on battery] [date/letters] )

When I look at measuring block Group 018 in the CAN gateway I am seeing 13.7 V. Based on what I am seeing in others posting I thought would be more like 14.7V. Does that mean the coding is wrong?

Full Measurements I am seeing in the measuring block channels.

I'm guessing this Gateway has a table of acceptable part numbers buried in the firmware, and it determines the capacity of the battery based on that table. What was the capacity of the old battery?

I don't think a 5% discrpancy is going to cause a major issue. Also, I'm not finding a part number for 100 Ah. 95 and 105 are as I've found.

My fuzzy recollection is that AGMs don't like to be charged quite that hot -- like under 14V and 000915105CF is an AGM part number, so I think that's good.

Take the car for a good long drive and see what happens to the SoC and the resting voltage. Both should come up. Note however that modern cars tend to try to keep SoC at less than 100% to leave room for "recuperation" when you're braking (or just coasting, completely off the accelerator).

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I think it is a VW part number vs Audi part number, and the VW number isn't in the table you are referring to.

I am hoping it is just a marketing thing from Autozone that accounts for the difference between the Ah values.

That is the plan. Drive her for a while and then go back and check the measuring block values. I am pretty confident they will be fine, but I go with the trust, but verify thinking.
