So I'm exploring the website and wanted to see what info there is on a 2010 Jetta. When I select the correct vehicle it seems to default to a different vehicle. Anyone know why? Are these 2 electronically the same? See attached screenshots

In a way all VAG (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Lamborghini, Bentley ....) vehicles are electronically "linked" I work on all of these vehicles and the similarities are clear to see. They are from the same stables
Your 2010 Jetta is so old now that you can be sure that there is very little on that vehicle that will not be covered by VCDS.

VCDS does not claim to do any Immobiliser functions.

Your Jetta is almost the same car as the VW Golf. And similar to the Audi A3, Seat Leon, Skoda Something.

The 2010 NAR Jetta is a bit weird. That was a transitional year between Mk.5 and Mk.6 stuff, and it had a mixture of bits from both generations.

Thats what I'm finding out. I was just doing a little look around on the website to get a feel. This is the first 2.5L 5cyl i've been around and wanted to search WIKI for info. Nothing specific, but so far I can't find anything on the Wiki portion for that engine (CBUA).
Most of my German experience comes from old-old VW (Jetronic era), old Porsche (986 and 996), and new Audi (2020+). The Jetta seems to fit nicely in between for my students to get somewhat of a history lesson on Early network comms, but I need to understand some of how it is put together in order to explain it to them. A 2011 would have been a much better choice but we take what we get. It is turning out to be a good exercise on not trusting your service info until you can verify its accuracy. So far, they have diagnosed a fried Vehicle Electronics Module, on open in the CAN- traced to the power steering module (broken wire), and a driver's door module that had an open in the power feed. If nothing else, this vehicle has had a variety of problems that have been a good learning experience. Maybe one of the students will actually become a VW technician. Thanks for your help to this point.

Was just getting a feel for the website layout. Checking some coding and programming. Any info I can gather before I send my students here for researching specifics. Thanks for the reply.
