Hi all. What a resource this place is.

However I have not been able to find an answer to my exact problem:

2013 North American VW GTI 4-door

Passenger window will only move an inch at a time. Takes a dozen or more re-taps of the window switch (either driver master or passenger slave) to get it all the way down or all the way up

End-point resets (either more than 10 seconds, or approximately 2 seconds) from either switch don't fix it.

Wires in door jamb seem intact. No accidents on right side ever. However the right side mirror unit was replaced, although not quite coinciding with this problem. Also master window switch replaced (after OE broke physically) with 3rd party cheap unit, but have tried replacing that with another and it doesn't change the problem. Worked fine after initial replacement for considerable time.

Using my nifty HEX-V2 on Position Sensor V148, I see that the window position is always at 0% on this window. In contrast to the driver's window, that shows percentage change in position as it rolls up or down.

Is this resettable with some individual bit setting (I tried restoring defaults), or is a lack of signal from this sensor likely a hardware issue in the regulator? Is the sensor in the regulator? What else could it be?

Please post an Auto-Scan for context, and note that your Google Photos link produces a 404 error.

OK I've used dropbox for an autoscan
Is there some reason you're unwilling to copy & paste your scan into the form, like just about everyone else does?

Anyone able to look at that scan now and offer advice on the window?

The technical term in German here is, "Kaput":

Have you pulled the door card from that door to trouble-shout inside of it yet?
