I would agree but if you live in the bush in Northern Ontario where it takes you 2 days to drive 700kms , which may be the case here? You may end up on the side of the road with help a long ways off, and no heat.

I don’t live in the north, I just drove on Monday from Ottawa to Mahone Bay in 1 day, 1525kms. Never far from help and no loss of cel service for my trip. I’ll be 72 soon, Canada is a big place.

You’re from ON, so you know about the size of it.

Sorry I worded that poorly, 7 hrs one way to the dealer, 6-8 hrs in the shop, 7 hrs home. You could do it one day if you drive that hwy at night but there are a ton of deer on it then. Safely its two day trip, if it gets fixed in a day. Last time it was two weeks+, they ordered the wrong part, new one came in broken after waiting 2 nights at $200 per night + meals. Then an Extra trip to go back and get it, cost us well over a grand and lost 8 days of work between us.

well living here for all my life I have only had 1 close call with a moose, But 1 deer hit, one close enough to leave fur in a trim piece another.... 5 instances needing new undewear total. sightings beside the road per year, moose 0-1, deer 2 dozen easy. moose are the "bigger" threat but more likely you'll smoke a deer. forestry has destroyed the moose population.

dieselgate price was nice, phoned around got the color and options wife wanted, and vw dealership owner here thought he was going to get an audi deal. took a chance. Audi should be a quality car, you would think? Our VW has been great. 270k miles and still going strong. pretty sad when your new car is laid up more in a couple years than your other car has been in 21. i don't go to dealers unless absolutly have to, do all my own work.

However, given the fault codes you have, I don't have much hope that this is going to be anything resembling a fix.

I'm a bit surprised by the combination of "Reductant Consumption too Low" and "Reductant Quality Performance". I would think that poor quality DEF would increase consumption, not decrease it.

my grams consumed shows as 95xxx, i think that is 88 litres and it should be 1-3 litres per 1000 km so i think that falls in range? the tank level does funny things, stuck on 75.7% even after filling right up. then at 22.7% after fully draining the tank. it creeps from 9% to 22.7% with the tank right empty when you first turn it on.

in Basic settings does engine need to be warmed up and doors closed....... to do those checks? looking at the IDE08722 Check Reduction med quality.

if you reset learned values for reduction.... IDE03402, and get "finished correctly/finish routine: routine not OK". What does that mean? how did it finish correctly but the value never reset?

so if this does not reset to 1.00 and you do a metering quantity test, the volume it puts out will be porportional to the long term adaptation value with 1 being 25-35 ml. Injector had some build up and adaptation value of 2.18. i have zero knowledge on this scr system but going to guess it is at 2.18 because it is not getting enough reductant to lower NOX readings and its trying add more but isn't getting any/enough. I just want to see if it sprays properly or at all, process of elimination.
