audi s3 2015

if i was to replace the j519 module with a brand new OEM one, will i need to program/code it?
if i do need to, can i do it with the ross tech tool that i have?

My guess is you're going to run into Component Protection, which is going to need to be dealt with on-line to the servers on the mothership.

Does the old one still talk? If so, get an Auto-Scan for the coding and an Adaptation Channel Map too before attempting the swap.

Yes, it still works and has not yet been removed.
Issues arise after a while and the scan shows that mostly anything on the can bus gets lit up.
a few modules show errors and i know they shouldn't be having issues.
also low power is showing in the scan along with those other errors.

if it gets coded by the dealer, is there still a point to keep the old coding that it has?

do you know if the car will still move and or be in movable but valet mode?
as i fix it at in my garage i can get it on a tow truck to get coded but i still need to move it, drive it, out of the garage to the street. a few yards away.
