Not understanding specifically instructions to perform knock sensor test. Guidance says put press firmly on brake and throttle.... But is that when in gear? I mean, am I doing that in neutral and reving to redline? So far haven't done it until I know what to expect. And do I need to "turn the test on" at the top button, or ... Thanks

Guidance says put press firmly on brake and throttle.
Please post an Auto-Scan for better context.

When the appropriate Basic Setting is active, the ECU should limit the RPM to something like 2000-2500 RPM when your left foot is on the brake and your right foot is holding the accelerator to the floor. On a car with an automatic trans, this will be done in Park. On a car with a manual trans, neutral.

That worked. Thank you. I was just being a scaredy cat. Really appreciate the quick reply.
