Good day, I trust everyone is doing well.

I have a 2017 Audi A4 and the instrument cluster LCD is damaged. I bought a used cluster.

Is there a procedure to copy the mileage details from the old cluster to the new one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mileage on a cluster can only be changed by diagnostic tools within the first 100km. After that, the mileage correction is locked.

Specialists, some of whom are on this forum, had their own tools and can modify the mileage with said tools.

What is the issue with the cluster? How did it fail? Do you have a log? Please provide such info so we can do our best to provide either advise or best course of action.

The LCD display started malfunctioning, now it does work. I don't have a log but I will post one as soon as possible if it can help with the troubleshooting. Thanks

Hi Bruce

This type of LCD failure is well known and equally well documented. Not just Audi, BMW and Mercedes suffer too. Seems that the Germans are excel at manufacturing sub standard clusters.

It is rife, the aftermarket produce and sell repair kits (Ney Screens) for these issues.

No need for coding or mileage correction.

If it's got a B2000 fault, it can be saved it all depends on what codes are in the dash and if you want to change the dash or repair it.
