Tried to do a regen and every time i select start, it just goes straight to finished correctly. Doesn't allow me to press brake or whatever other sequence is required to start the regen. Have done successfully on previous cars, just bought this one, scan and measured values below.

Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong or is it too far gone??

Your DPF is nearly full of ash (68g and 70g limit) and at 30g of soot it won't do a service regen whilst standing, it will need to be a forced regen whilst driving which it won't allow above 40g but that is likely to add another gram of ash to the DPF so there is no point, it is full and needs to come off for cleaning, then a new GENUINE pressure sensor fitted and calibrated, the DPF soot load set at the value the cleaning company suggest (usually 25% of the maximum) and then a service regeneration carried out to finish the job. If you try and fudge the figures, you stand a high chance of the DPF getting so hot (+900°c) it sets fire to the car or as the book of words warns "vehicle may burn down"... At the end of a service regen, you want to see the calculated value around <5g (you can get it down to <1g with another try) and the measured to go negative to around -10g

Why? You have no faults indicating a regen is needed.

-Uwe-
The light on the dash told me lol so I tried a standing regen, car is not able to be driven on the road as it’s not registered/mot’d to be on a public rd.

Ok thanks for the detailed response, so I’ll just get it cleaned and do as you say. Being so full, would this cause the engine to idle erratically as it can’t exhaust properly? Engine shakes when just idling.

Probably not the cause that way around, more the poor fuelling from FUBARED injectors has clogged the DPF.

The question is: how is it possible that the DPF is full of ash but the engine module does not record it in the error memory? Especially. Possible SW adjustment of the O1 module? How has the car behaved so far? Any smoke from the exhaust? How is the exhaust tip? Is it covered in soot? Is a CAYD engine installed there. So the exhaust has the EU5 standard = Exhaust pipe almost clean and exhaust gases invisible to the eye

Checked the injector coding today, injector 1 was coded different to what was in Vcds, the others all matched. Changed the coding and still idles like it’s fubared lol

I don't know how in Australia, but in Europe it is common to buy reconditioned injectors. In such a case, the code on it is something that does not correspond to its properties. That's why I recommend you note down the changed code (it might be useful for you). Otherwise, if the injection was not adjusted correctly, it should not mean that the DPF will be clogged in this way.

Ok no smoke when running, although idles rough, exhaust is black and no visible smoke driving either. Injector code was 79BBCD0 and I changed to B9HKJK0 as was on the injector. Tried the injector deviation to balance but ended up in the continuous loop. I’ll play around with it next weekend when I’m home again, have dpf that I’m going to get cleaned in the meantime and schedule to change, and do as Crasher mentioned.

CAYD in a Caddy? Only seen CAYE in the UK from memory and it was built I Poland like most of the UK ones appear to be. Anyway, CAYD injectors are just as shit as CAYE.

Yes mate, there are three golfs in the family with Cayc engines, none of those have had any issues with injectors, unless they different. Most caddy’s here have cayd or Caye after 2010 in australia that I’m aware

There are five CAY engines

CAYA 75PS Polo
CAYB 90PS Polo, Golf, Touran etc etc
CAYC 105PS Golf, Passat, Touran etc
CAYD 105PS Caddy injector
CAYE 102PS Caddy injector

All used injector injector 03L 130 277 B replaced by injector 03L 130 277 S although that surprised me as I could have sworn the CAYE used a different one.

Are these things rebuildable or better to just replace? Not cheap here either

I think Crasher was talking about the injector modifications on the production line. The fact that the injector was somehow modified in production does not necessarily mean that it is defective. Often the modification (replacement) had a reason other than technical (need to change supplier, etc.). In all my practice, however, I have never encountered a faulty injector on a 1.6 CR engine without a missing entry in the module. The same applies to the DPF. If I understand it correctly, the rough running of the engine bothers you on your car. Module 01 is error free and the DPF is full. Try taking a video recording of the engine at idle. and publish it. I have a hunch that your problem has nothing to do with electronics. Also publish the mileage km/miles.
