I’m posting about my 2015 CC 2.0L 6MT, 173,000kms, bought last month. This is my 7th VW, starting with a 1956 Beetle when I was 12- I’m a country boy. My newer VW’s were dealer serviced but now I’m retired and I want to do what I can to work on my own VW so I bought this CC. I just acquired VAGCOM and have a big learning curve. I’ve only used OBD2 code readers up to now- I could erase codes only.
My problem is my 2015 has Navi, CD, and Dynaudio with an amp under the driver seat that was rusted when I discovered my volume wasn’t working. My radio and Navi work, just absolutely no sound. Radio is part #3C0035684Q, amp is 3AA035466 Z06. The Z06 extension does not appear on the Amp itself but is on the VW system part number. But the part is CDN$1,267 + tax and backordered. Other VW’s models have the same part number but different extensions like Z07, Z08 etc. The VW online parts list shows this CC part number with the Z06 as only on the 2015 and 2016 CC.
I pulled my amp, opened it up, and in addition to a lot of corrosion on the outside, it has signs of damage inside. I cleaned it up with alcohol and plugged it back in, no difference- still no sound. The electrical plugs- 2- look very clean/normal. I don’t have an Erwin manual yet, so no idea which fuse runs the amp, but I checked all the 15amp and up fuses in both the engine compartment and on the inside by the driver’s door, they were all fine.
My VAGCOM scan I’ll post separately.
It shows 37 Navigation- 2635 tuner not enabled, which I believe is no Sirius satellite subscription. And also 00463, no signal.
At address 2E- player 3 cannot be reached.
Address 47 sound system- cannot be reached.
Address 56- Radio shows the same faults as under 37 Navigation- 2635 and 00463.
Does this mean I need the amp replaced?
Thanks for any assistance.

- I assume I need a Dynaudio amp #3aa035466 Z06? If I find a used one from a 2015 or 2016 CC, will it need coding?
- I also assume one from another VW, same number but different extension- not Z06- is not usable?
- Could I find a different used Radio with Navi and matching Dynaudio amp and replace mine and make that work?
- Seems hard to find a used amp at commercial junkyards, they don’t list them separately at car-part.com
Thanks for any assistance.
