Hi, first time posting have a problem that has just developed. Regardless of load and road speed any revs above 3000rpm create a "stutter" or misfire. No engine warning light. Auto scan only shows 2 faults. 1 on engine
17535 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 (Mult)
P1127 - 000 - System too Rich - Intermittent

and one one electrical
00447 - Function Limitation due to Over-Voltage
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent

I can induce the fault at any time but it hasn't changed the number of occurances of either fault. Anybody able to give some advice? Auto scan text below.

Regardless of load and road speed any revs above 3000rpm create a "stutter" or misfire.

Your fault code are possibly not enough to cause that however they should be rectified first.

I would want to look at Ignition Secondaries under snap throttle to analyse what is happening.

Plugs and Coils ??

Dr Sheldon. Thanks for replying to me. I didn't clear the 2 faults as they were both low priority and I wanted to see if the fault count went up if I induced the problem. It didn't. I'll clear the faults and see if they reoccour.

This is the first petrol car i've had anything to do with in 30 years. That had a flat four engine distributer cap, points and HT leads. What do you mean by Ignition secondaries? Plugs and coil packs? Plugs were changed 4 weeks ago, same NGK type as I took out, correctly gapped. Car ran fine afterwards. I didn't see any damaged wiring to the coil packs when chaging the plugs. Wouldn't a faulty coil pack put up a DTC?

Dr Sheldon, finally got to watch that video and undestand what you mean now by secondaries and snap throttle. I gues what I need to do now is look at ignition measuring blocks in scope mode and see what I get.
