I count on the CP of cluster, I think the ABS unit does not have CP ... when once removed protection, it would be my coding valid?.

rojas: hello -sounds like a very interesting project!. I think that Uwe was referring to CP as a general matter of concern for your project, not that both ABS and the instrument cluster modules were included under VW's Component Protection constellation (love that descriptor!) - and yes, J104 is not included in the MQB constellation, but J285 is captured under CP

So when you say "I'm changing the cluster and the ABS unit, suffice to copy my coding in the new control units?", you are (of course) referring to both the coding string values and the adaptation channel settings.

The ABS unit SW:5Q0-907-379-AA that I have in my database has 45 adaptation channels. I don't have an admap for a 5F0-920-873A module, but the MQB instrument clusters that are in my database have about 220 adaptation channels. Just out of interest, I've been advised by a colleague in another forum that ABS security codes for the MQB series units are adaptation channel specific (at best, a single security code will only unlock a small number of adaption channels - but mostly it will apply to only one). Do you have access to the required suite of security codes for the ABS unit for your project? If so, I would welcome a copy please - ABS security codes for MQB units seem to be as scarce as rocking-horse-sh#t!
