Has anybody Adapted a new key that was not purchased from the dealer?

With the Kessy 'working intermittently" any "diagnosis" about the state of the keys based on the assumption that the Kessy is OK is flawed.

If you have any suggestions for more accurate diagnosis I'm willing to listen?

Intermittent suggests a connection problem either in the external connections to the kessy module (wiring damage, connector corrosion etc.) or internal soldering problems in the kessy module.

I would start by physically inspecting the wiring to the kessy and unmating the connectors on it to check for water corrosion.

I would be certain that thousands have if not more over the years !!

Pre requisite being that the car (kessy) is in good shape.

Some of us, outside of the Dealer Network can be quite Resourceful, Innovative - Huge Improvisational Skills !!


The Dealer Network and those within it are IMO pretty well "Dumbed Down" versions compared to the Elite Independent Technicians out there !!

For a Start the Training Regime the VM and Dealers have is Shite !! Far from complete !!

Couldn't agree with you more Sheldon. The dealer doesn't even know where to start with the problem I'm having. Glad you guys are out there and I have access to the resource.
