I thought of that, can you suggest somebody that you know that is good with working with these cars?
You've already received that input in some of your other posts on the subject.... but you're ignoring it.

Thanks for the reply. The chip that I am pointing to doesn't appear to be soldered (no legs) to the PCB, but rather glued. Would they pick up supply coil be attached this way?

If it is the multi-leg chip that you suggested, that's beyond my capability to remove.
It is soldered, but does not need to be seen, it is underneath.

I'm not ignoring anything. The 3 locksmiths I talked to here don't want to work on it and referred me to the dealer. The dealer stated they cannot get a KESSY.

I don't think you understand, there is a problem with Kessy. It won't Adapt a Key. It's not just that I need a new, the Kessy is also acting up.

Do you understand that you've been referred to 2 resident users who have the knowledge\experience\tools to help you?
Have you contacted them?

Is that a good source concerning that the keys come pre-initialized with the VIN from the Dealer?
Forget all about the Dealer bureaucracy !! It is old old hat now and there is a workaround to it !!

I have not looked on eBay. Is that a good source concerning that the keys come pre-initialized with the VIN from the Dealer?
How about you pick which problem it is you have that you can't solve?
Is it that you can't find a fob? A key? A transponder chip? A Kessy? A locksmith? All of the above? I can't follow any more.

Sorry about the confusion but one relates to the other. I want a functional Key and FOB and Kessy. As of now, the only key that successfully made it through the Adaptation process and starts the car is the Valet key (no FOB). The other keys will not Adapt because the Kessy is only working Intermittently. Therefore, I need a New Key with FOB and Kessy rebuild.

Surely that means that making the Kessy no longer work intermittently is the first thing to solve?

FYI,

I've learned the security chip (Pill) is not removable. In this case (2005 TOUAREG) it is part of the PCB board. Therefore that idea is no longer viable. I am trying to find new keys.

The adaptability of the two original keys is questionable. One of them surely is not adaptable. The other indicates that it is adaptable, however, it will Not Adapt, and the fob doesn't function. Therefore I will need two brand new keys.

With the Kessy 'working intermittently" any "diagnosis" about the state of the keys based on the assumption that the Kessy is OK is flawed.

If you have any suggestions for more accurate diagnosis I'm willing to listen?
