2009 VW Rabbit

My sub frame made contact with a raised water pipe in a construction area, setting off both front airbags.
I bought both airbags, module, dash and seatbelt from a scrapped MKV VW.

Just curious about coding. I see from this site that you cannot reset a module once it has activated the airbags. There are instructions for coding a new module for your car.
Can you follow this procedure to code a module from another vehicle with same part number?

There are a zillion different variants of airbag modules and restraint combinations used in these cars. Chances are, mix and match parts will not work and cannot be made to work together. Coding a new module (that correctly matches the other SRS equipment in the car) is fairly straightforward, see:
