2014 GTI with bad abs module.

Hey there. I need some help with a 2014 GTI. It had some crazy symptoms, and I think I narrowed it down to a bad abs module. I backed up the coding

11 4B 60 0C 49 22 00 FB 88 0E 06 E6 92 21 00 41 B7 08 00

then I ordered a new abs module on eBay and I was careful to order one with a very similar model number. 1 K0 614 517 DT L6+ was stock to the car...

new one is 1KO 907 379 BL according to vcds readout.

eBay said 2013-15 VW Passat. (in my defense, the one I ordered was almost the same number as I had, but they did not send me the one that was pictured...)
the part fits, is on the car and works fine, but still flashing warning lights of every sort....

I try to code it in and get various error messages. error 12 sub function not reported blah blah blah...

It also wants a different number of digits from above, so I tried adding 00 on the end of the code...right now, the code is all zeroes, and won't accept anything I try.

I hope this isn't too specific, I am new to VW's...thanks

Is the problem the replacement part is wrong number/generation? If I have to find another one and replace it, it's not the end of the world, but this car has been down ove a month, this is getting impossible...

Since you're replacing a -BL module with another -BL module, you should be able to just copy and paste the existing coding that you have:

Ok, thanks, I see why I was confused. I was confusing the number on the black cylinders, that you can see when the control module is in place, with the number on the back of the control module, like was pictured above...I guess one is the pump number and the other is the control module itself, sorry for the confusion...

*the problem stated briefly: I replaced a BL abs module with a BM module and the car wont accept the coding. First it says wrong number of digits, then I pad it with 00 at the end to make it the right number of digits, and I get another error message .

*Longer explanation: Ok, I had a chance to check over things, and it would be easiest to just start over. I apologize for messing things up...I confused the numbers on the pump (on the black cylinder) itself and the control box...I also assumed eBay sent the abs control module they pictured and they did not...

2014 GTI with a bad abs module. many codes, it was kicking on when it shouldn't even at 5 mph, for seemingly no reason. I removed 1K0 907 379 BL from the car, and it's coding was:

11 4B 60 0C 49 22 00 FB 88 0E 06 E6 92 21 00 41 B7 08 00

I then ordered a used part on eBay and installed it: 1KO 907 379 BM is what comes up as the hardware number when I scan it. (some of the confusion came when they did not send the part that they pictured on the auction which I wrote down, but it was a BL) I was warned to keep the initial coding but It hasn't worked...And here is the current auto scan...with the eBay part installed...
