So I have acquired a 7N0 907 530BG S1673 HH56 HW 7N0 907 530AN. I believe this can be upgraded to a BL.

I will be interested to see you get this to work.

Hey Guys,
Don't know if you can help or not but I am looking to get a B7 Variant/Wagon ACC stalk set. In Canada we only have the CC which doesn't come as a wagon. I have been looking around and found that 3C9 953 502 E may be the correct part number, but there are multiple pictures showing the right stalk being for the sedan and wagon with the same part number. The dealer seems to have the best price for this piece so far. I am also picking up a 3C0 853 601 A JZA emblem and what appears to be the adapter plate for it 3C0 853 347 A RYP, pretty sure these are the correct parts for ACC.

In other news I have a 2016 CC Executive gauge cluster (color), ventilated seats and a 12ch 3AA dynaudio amplifier coming to me. Found one of the only CC's of that trim level at a wreckers here. Parts are all reasonably priced also.

Hey Dust0vich I just saw this post.
First off, as a Canadian (I'm in Lower Mainand BC) doing/done this BCM retrofit on my 08 4mo 3.6 Wagon I can share all kinds of problems and experiences with you that I have had, as well as a couple I'm still having but nothing to keep me from driving the car now. I had to learn 90% of this by braile and a lot of Advil but the car (full blown R36+ clone) is fully functional again. The Euro guys got off "easy" on these mods. Not us North Canadians though.

As for the stalk set: 3C9953502E9B9
This is assuming you have the later style steering wheel control module and ACC.

If you have the early one (compatible with CECM stuff) with built in SWCM, I'll sell ya the one I took out of my wagon that previously had ACC as well. I also have the camera, parking sensors etc. I may have a 2D colour cluster as well but someone else had dibs so I need to ask him first. Not that I'm parts whoring, just helping ya out by saving you a lot of aggravation.

Be aware: you're in for a world of hurt if you don't have a parts car to steal stuff from to do the BCM swap along with all the retofits. You're going to need diagrams (ElsaWin) VCDS and some other form of rewriting EEPROM's, as well as other random stuff. I will warn you this is not a project for the faint of heart. Especially if you plan on retrofitting.

My memory's a bit fuzzy as this project has been sitting for 5 months (divorce etc) but if you have any questions feel free to DM me. I just put the car up on stands again over the weekend to install the bags, calipers, rotors etc.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I ordered that stalk set from the dealer (cheaper than ebay) and it is the correct one for a wagon, susprised that they had that available in NAR since I don't believe we got any B7 wagons, only CCs. I already have the integrated clockspring control module to go with it from a 2013 CC that fits perfectly. (And I have the old ACC stalk set as well, but in the spirit of upgrading...)

One question that I have is if I have a cluster from a MIB2 car that would already have the CP registered in it, will it continue to work when placed into a different car with a different MIB2 unit?

Project right now is changing the FWD rear end out to an aluminium AWD rear end from a 2007 R36 and upgrading from the Haldex 2 -> Haldex 5 from a 2016 Tiguan and swapping the AT to a 6MT+Quaife+angle drive. Once that is done I will start with the electronic goodies. I may be interested in the parking sensors at some point and camera depending on which version you have.

CP has nothing to do with the cluster in a PQ car. Not sure what you mean by MIB2 but if you mean the deck, get CP removed from a reputable source and all good. I have an MIB2 unit in my car with 10-channel Dynaudio and it's awesome.

Pardon my scheptisism but are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into? A gen5 Haldex in a FWD car? And going from auto FWD to manual AWD? You are aware of the differences in fuel tank, driveshaft tunnel etc. correct?

I just cut the fuel tank sender hole on the drivers side the other day and finished the Quaife AWD diff swap into a 2007 FWD 02Q transmission last month. The angle drive bolts up perfectly.

It is very hard to find in NAR the correct angle drive (or transmission) as the only 4motion manual cars to the best of my knowledge are the Golf R Mk6+ (02Q) or TT Mk1 225 (02M), the only one I could find available was at a wrecker in Quebec. I was able to build my own AWD transmission for about the same price as purchasing a AWD trans and as a bonus getting a LSD for free.

For comparisons sake I have grabbed an angle drive from a DSG Audi A3 Quattro and while the angle drive is the same, the centre shaft for the right CV is shorter where it goes into the transmission, but it looks like I can swap the centre shaft from the manual angle drive if it decides to pack it in.

I have shifter, surround for center console, 4motion gas tank, subframe, drive shaft, CV axles, 3.6 exhaust, MK6 Golf R downpipe, rear valence, CCTA angle drive brace, turbo lines, heat shields, etc etc. From my research the passat body doesn't require modifications to the trunk pan like the golf/jetta conversions do. Everything bolts up. As for the Haldex 5 swap it will be an experiment but I do forsee success, just need to make a small harness adapter as the connector is different between the controllers and I miiight need to put in a 7N0 gateway. From the pictures I have seen they are physically compatible and it should plug right into my rear diff.

The MIB2 STD2 PQ units in the later (mine is from a 2016 CC) models do come with CP and can be matched with what looks like a cluster with 1000+ firmware (which I have 2016 CC color-verry hard to find), or just use the hacked firmware which is easily available nowadays directly on the unit. I haven't found conclusive proof where the CP master is on the passat (CCM or cluster) on Golf it is the cluster but I have a feeling its the same. If you search #freeforall on drive2.ru you will find a eeprom/firmware patcher for the 3AA ABS controller to enable ACC, newer ACC radars, PQ cluster and other things. There is also a freely available tool to transplant the EEPROM immo data from a 3C0 to a 3AA CCM, which hopefully will make life easier when it is time to start on that.

I have both the 10 (factory) and 12 channel (potential retrofit) amps for my factory Dynaudio so I will see which may be the better when I do the MIB2 retrofit, but I don't know if there will be much of a difference. The system does pound pretty good with the existing factory RNS510, but from what I have heard the MIB2 sounds even better.

The cluster is the CP master in PQ platform cars. CC, NMS, Amarok, 5N Tiguan, Yeti, Sharan etc.
Matching the CP data in cluster with radar, MIB2 etc is the most elegant solution but these days probably not worth the effort aside from purists who love the idea of a clean autoscan.

I was one of those purists who wanted a clean autoscan so I have my DM PQ CP-matched but it's matched to the 799F CCM, not the cluster. I had kessy key troubles so I had to put my old non-kessy CCM back in and got CP active on the DM PQ pretty quick.
