Steering wheel module Golf V 2008

Hello, I have a 2008 Golf and the steering wheel module was not working with the onboard commands and horn. I bought an used one with same codes but when I plug it onboard commands and horn works but steering assistance is not working. I understand that I need to copy the codes from the old module to the new one, right? Do you have any guide to do this?

Do I need to connect to VW server?
I don't have any VAG tool yet, I understand I can buy vcds and do it, right?

Are you using a RT VCDS product? (edit, I see you don't have a VAG hardware/software)

I do not believe so.

A couple options as I understand your question:

One, find someone with a Legitimate VCDS and get a complete Auto-Scan and post it here with you Thread.
Otherwise, post your VIN and someone here may be able to look up the data on your vehicle.

Or, purchase a VCDS Hex-V2 interface.

My idea was to buy the VCDS if I can recode the module without connecting to VW server. I have the old module installed and the new one ready to install.
Is there any guide on how to do this?
Is there anyway to confirm that I don't need the VW server? I heard something about the VIN in the module..

I sure you can code Steering Control Module with VCDS - It is not part on the Immo

Compra o VCDS de um distribuidor autorizado, de seguida posta um auto-scan que ajuda na instalação ira aparecer!

The module does not have Vin!
Buy the VCDS from an authorized distributor, then post a auto-scan that help with the installation will appear!
