I want to turn off the seatbelt chime along with the visual warning in a 2010 Touareg and doing a search I found this relevant thread:

where Uwe writes,

You can't turn that seatbelt warning off just for the passenger seat. However, you should be able turn it off for both front seats in the Instrument Cluster.

[Select]
[17-Instruments]
[Coding]
[Long Coding Helper]
One of the drop-downs for Byte 00, you should have options, one of which should be:
"Seat Belt Warning inactive"

When going to 17 I get:

Then at Coding I get:

It just says the coding for "seat belt warning active." What would it be to make it INACTIVE? I wear seat belts 99.9% of the time but going around the mall parking lot or the last 1,000 feet on my street before going into my driveway when I take it off, I don't want that annoyance.

Well ok...........Where it says instrument panel coding +02=Seatbelt Warning Active, I guessed that -02 might make it inactive. So I changed the 0007201 to 0005201 and it worked.
