I used and liked my front seats with memory function in previous car (Audi A6 C7). I reasently bought/changed to A6 C8 MY2020 and this one is equipped with memory function for driver seat and front passenger seat only with power adjustment (no memory). I’m considering to add the memory function to passenger seat as well but wondering is it possible. I figure that I need to purchase the control&memory module J521 // 4M8959760B, setting button module into right side door E465 // 4K0959770A, decoration part for right door 4K0867586A, adjustment buttons in seat side and cable for door buttons as well bunch of cables for seat to replace the existing ones. I have studied the wiring diagrams and compared the existing one No 60 with the No 61 (both seats with memory function). I found one odd thing (among overall complexity of this feature) and like to ask if someone can explain me this: existing diagram has wire for collition detection from J533/T54d/P14 -> T17o/P3 -> E471/T10ao/P3, and on diagram N0 61 this connection is totally missing, or I see on air bags diagram No 7 that it is lead up to TS19=T17o. Why the seat adjustment button are connected to J533 (as well further to J234)? Why the connection is omitted in No 61 diagram? Can the wire be left without connection to any component? Does the added CAN-net (required by J521) replace/substitute this connection? I hope someone has answers to this and I thank in advance.
