That ECU doesn't use the SKC PIN,
Yes it uses PIN...
That ECU doesn't use the SKC PIN,
Knowing how to pick a lock and cut keys that work mechanically is a completely different skill than knowing the nuances of VAG clusters/immobilizers.but he did manage to pick door lock and cut 2 blanks that work. Would like to think he knew what he was doing??

Before the locksmith did you have the immobilizer light in the cluster?
You can't adapt new cluster only it the pin and VCDS
Thanks christo_844 for your responsesNot as a warning. Guess would have been there when ignition was switched on until car recognised key
So update on this
Have had the Immobilizer removed car starts and runs a treat.
Son had a photo of the original ABS coding all along
It is
133B400D09230003C81402E9901F00803000
But keep getting error 31: request out of range. I'm guessing this is down to cluster still being in service mode? Is there any way of getting the coding to accept?
I'm at the point of just pushing it into a lake somewhere
Thanks for that cristo. So if I was to buy an equivelent lockset ECU and cluster, fit it in the car. I should then be able to get a working and coding??. Are there any other modules that hold the vin which would cause conflict?
Thanks for confirming, have found a matching ECU, cluster and locks with key, so will get son to buy it. Will just change the blade in the key so won't need to change locks or ignition barrel. Should then be able to code pump.Yes...Also need to buy the keys!
Vin is only in the ECU,Cluster and ABS pump...
