Skoda Rapid DSG - Gear selector blinking no communication with TCM

The car broke down while running, and the gear selectors blinked rapidly. Now, the car won't move in any gears. Attached is the full scan report. I tried changing the gear selector bush on the gearbox, reconnected it, and did a visual inspection of the mechatronics wiring harness.

The mechatronics TCM module was replaced on January 2021, also i never had any issues with jerky gear changes or any other issues with this transmission so far.
Im concerned if the TCM again went bad. Is there any way to confirm this?

thanks btw in January 2021 when i had this same issue, the part number that was replaced with was

I assume this is the tcm module alone of the mechatronics; this will be a bit cheaper than the entire unit, right? Is this recommended or a full unit swap, which is obviously expensive?

You can't buy it separately, it comes as a Vehicle Intelligent Part that has to be ordered to the VIN and programmed for the individual car before being despatched. In the UK you have to pay for them before the parts company will order it and the are non cancelable and none returnable under any circumstances if it is found to be faulty after installation. When installed it MUST be matched to the car, the software version checked and basic settings carried out and this can only be done using ODIS.

I have successfully replaced the mechatronics unit and carried out basic settings using ODIS. Now there is only one error left: the car starts but refuses to move the gear selector, and here is the error that im getting on both VCDS and ODIS.

I checked the switch in the selector, and it is working as expected. When I check for faults in VCDs, I get a new error: the engine is starting, but the gear lever refuses to disengage, and the indicators are blinking. There's also a coil icon on the instrument cluster, which is also blinking.

These communication errors with TCU are also interesting. Are you sure the new mechatronic is good?

Finally, the problem was solved. The old mechatronics was good; there was an issue with the wiring routing under the wiper. The CAN high and low lines for the selector were damaged. This caused the TCU communication errors to be brought up in the scans. The car is up and running now.

Just as a note with the shift unit switch fault, we tried the VW overlay (AKA bodge) repair on an Octavia a few weeks ago and it seems to have done the job.
