Im new to the forum so please bear with me.
I am having trouble to get my webasto heater to preheat the engine instead of the cabin.
Therefor i am wondering if its possible to tweak the circulation to be directed to the engine instead of cabin.
My problem is that below -25C my engine has trouble starting, have tried running webasto for 1,5 hour with charger didtn help and running without climatecontrol on inside cabin and did not work either. The webasto just shuts off when reaching work temp around 82C.
My understanding after reading about the shutoff valve is that after the cabin is heated the engine should get some heat but this doesnt happen. Have a skoda octavia as well and the engine is 40-50c after just 30 minutes and cabin is free of ice. It must be possible to achive this on the Amarok as well. My last step is to buy engine block heater but that should not be nessecary with a 5kw diesel heater installed is my opinion.
The 2-3 walve (n279) is coded to heat both engine and cabin.
Heater works fine and heats cabin in no time.
When doing the scan of the car the battery was in poor condition, but this havent got anything to do with it have tried to fix this problem with the heater for over 3 years now. Have ordererd a new battery, probably got a death sentence last winter when i tried to get engine warm with webasto.....
Will also attach photo off values when running, it could seem to me that the resirc pump should be running but isnt?
Not sure if its possible to fix, i know that others here in Norway has the exact problem on their 2.0TDI.
