The current BCM in vehicle was purchased on ebay, listed from a Golf R, assumed it was high line. I will attempt to make contact with the seller.

You are the one that purchased the wrong part and fitted it !! You OWN that now !!

Not sure why you would want to disturb the seller with your cock up ??


Even now you seem to have no interest in getting the Correct Part No by VIN for your application !!!

087 BCM is a Highline Version that has all available Options.
086 BCM is also Safe to Work with Front Fog Lights.
Check your 084, there are No Pins in the Connector for Front Fog Lights.

Just to be clear, when the original BCM was water damaged in the vehicle, I planned to upgrade it and add the RLS, Anti dazzle rearview and the European Auto headlight switch with rear foglight capabilities.

The sole purpose of this post was because I had no foglights, no other reason.

I made a human error purchasing the wrong BCM after assuming that the Golf R would carry a Highline BCM. Please excuse my ignorance as I am not, All Knowing!

There's no need for the insults. If the seller refuses to accept the return so be it, such is the nature of vehicle modifications, you win some you lose some.
