i suppose the best way is to get a caddy vin in both ECU and immo and we'll make a caddy abs coding for it. if the abs is caddy compatible. which it seems to be.

As I wish to do a couple more of these in the near future & keep things as ‘stock’ as possible, Presumably this would mean the info held on the MCU & being immo4c this would require specialist programming tools in order to change the vin within these areas? If my ODIS account is granted, I’m assuming half would be possible within the offboard diag and the other would require eeprom or ‘bench’ tools to do so, or am I going a little over the top with it..?

I know this doesn’t really matter in this grand scheme of things I just want things to be right and be as factory (or as) as possible with full immobilisation intact.


Had I kept the clocks and ecu in assuming this would had been easier as I’d only have changed one of the triangle, which from memory, you can recode but not if you have changed two of the three?

No, it is from a Vw golf mk5. Mk5 golf engine & ecu, scirocco clocks (easily changed to golf mk5 too) and Vw caddy chassis.

Any other input on how to gain the coding for the abs? I have access to be able to input the vin into both clocks and immo / ecu but ideally would like to iron out the issues asap so the vehicle can be driven.
