Question regarding few tweaks for California T6.1

I am looking for information on how to achieve a few tweaks on VW California T6.1

Particularly for three mods that would have been done via VCDS:

- what needs to be changed on the T6.1 to achieve a start-stop disable function or to retain the last selection on the button (if possible),
- how to activate Scandinavian lights in the rear (where both the front DRL and rear position lights are on simultaneously),
- how to enable external mirrors to fold when locking the vehicle.

Apologies for multiple questions. I did some research and found some instructions, but they were mostly contradictory so if someone has any experience with this, much appreciated.

Since not all T6.1 are equipped the same you need to post an Auto-Scan of yours made with the English version of VCDS to know what is possible and how.

Unsure if something like this exists in your market but I think you need to modify that on the hardware/switch level. Random NAR VW product examples:

If you can find a solution like that I believe it retains the last selection of the button.


Next, in regards to the BCM (09: Cent. Elect.) SA code 31347 = Adaptation Enabling may be needed first. I think this will change DRLs from front only to front and rears on:

When searching for DRL stuff in general also use the terms Tagfahrlicht and TFL since most is in German.


Lastly, I don't have any folding mirror suggestions but if you post an Adaptation function map from address 09 it may add clarity.

Yep. At roughly MY 2019, VW removed those kinds of tweaks, likely at the behest of regulatory agencies.
