Not all modules on all cars actually have Long Coding - so don't expect the Long Coding Helper to be available on every module on every car.

Look at the Auto-Scan if the coding looks similar to this (or even longer!)

Coding: 0C2500322464010B1000

then the Long Coding Helper will be available.

But if it looks similar to this

Coding: 0014

then as this module doesn't use Long Coding then the Long Coding Helper will not be available.

Actually that's not quite correct. Four digits, 2 bytes; that's going to be hexadecimal and will be "long" coding. Traditional decimal short coding is always an odd number of digits. So for example the coding for the engine in his scan:

Coding: 0044071

That has 7 digits. It's decimal, and is not a "long" coding.

However, coding for that ECU us well documented in the label file and will be shown in an info balloon if he pauses on the coding screen.

Now the dash in this car has:

Coding: 470B00

That's an even number of digits, clearly hexadecimal, and Long Coding Helper should work, and there's data for it in the label file.
