Alrighty, So I got stuck with this Q7 in a divorce after the ex ran it into limp home mode. Bought the VCDS, scanned and saved it, but it had sat for a year. Cleared codes, and right away it had a NOx sensor bank 1 and an EGR stuck open code, amongst other code to due with ABS and stuff that needed to be driven to calibrate..... I pulled the EGR valve and cleaned it, but it was pretty sticky, so I replaced it. Cleared the codes and it drove great, but got another Bank 1 NOx sensor code. I cleared it with a little bluetooth module on the road, but the permanent code was still there, so the CEL came back on about 40 miles later. I replaced the NOx sensor for bank 1, and cleared the codes with VCDS again, and 40 miles later, got it again. Seems to be pretty consistant on coming back again and again since. Maybe cleared it 20 times in 700 miles since NOx sensor replaced. No drivability issues noticed, just the CEL light, but I keep clearing codes so it doesn't go into limp. Yes, I replaced the one by the turbo, the old one didn't look horribly caked. Anyone have any thoughts? I usually work on 1000hp plus marine diesels, so I'm not used to DEF system and I don't know the logic.... Thank you for your help!
