Hi no not scanned before, and cant choose chassis, it says the same thing whatever i try.Hello
Have you scanned this vehicle before?
Make sure the ignition is on, and also try running the scan by choosing the chassis type from the drop down list (chars 7 and 8 from the VIN)
Post the scan if it works and that will show more

Hi yeah its running van and battery life is goodTry individual modules as Crasher suggested.
Also, is this a running van?
Does it show ignition and battery voltage as above 12v on the failed scan?

Does it show ignition voltage on the scan and if yes, is it above 12v
What type of interface do you have?
Open VCDS, choose options / test and post the screenshot of the result
In Options, click restore defaults, click save, close VCDS, reopen VCDS and retry engine
Best regards
Derek
would there be different OBD ports? this one doesnt look the same as all the rest.
Hi Derek, found out what was going on, theres something plugged into original port, maybe something to do with an anti theft device? Unplugged it and all good now. Thanks very much for your help. MartinI don't think so. Would you post a picture please
(You bought your VCDS from me so you're welcome to give me a call and we can go through some tests quickly on the phone)
