Hello,
I am trying to fix a dead electric rack and pinon on a 2013 Audi A4, everything turns freely when the car is on the lift but no steering assist. I can clear the ABS fault (03) but not the J500 (44).
I checked the connections and removed the J500 to make sure it was dry, no burnt smell or any visual sign of corrosion.
I saw in I could do a factory reset but did not try yet, would the factory reset using vagcom be my next step ?
I am not familiar with these electric racks but I see they have turn something that worked very well (hydraulics) into infinite failing possibilities
