Hello,

I would like to ask, I have Passat B8 EU ver. from 2015. CUAA eng. code and cod of Trans. QAX. (DQ500)
On the internet I saw that Passat had also other variants of the DQ500 I think how production went (TJL etc)
My question is when I buy gearbox with code TJL but originally I have QAX code is it possible to code it or adjust it to my early version of CUAA engine ?
Prices are better for TJL also there is no many QAX on the market.

reason : my gearbox needs to change clutch pack, than it wierd noises comming from gearbox when its downshifiting,
it has 260 000km.

thank you

Gear ratios may differ on TJL compared to QAX, meaning shift point RPM and speeds will be different.

TJL is not a valid replacement for QAX in a Passat B8 CUAA. You can use RCG and SDR boxes. TJL is for CUAA in a Tiguan and Kodiaq.

But why take a risk ??

If it came with QAX then rely on the $$ ££ millions VAG spent on research and testing to marry that box with that lump in that car ?

Also, it sure would not hurt to Post a Auto-Scan from a Legitimate RT product/interface ; you can get one from a friend or service center and then post it here. Just be sure it is a Legitimate interface. It would be wise to do this first before you purchase or install any used part.

passat typically has the longest gear ratios of the passenger cars. tiguan shorter gears due to larger wheels.

doesnt need scan because the ECU is pure original and there no any code in memorry, problem is that I think is it mechanicly worn out.
Many people looked at it, mechatronic has been repaired, sw update has been done, so many time adpatation was made still it is bad,
so many money spend on nothing just on people who might know what are they recomend or do

Don't forget - MQB has Component Protection on the DSG mechatronic. So plan a dealer visit or transfer your old mechatronic to the "new" box.

Lack of a fault code is NOT a good reason not to do a scan, as I said doing a scan BEFORE you change anything gives you two thngs:
1) coding information for the future WHEN something goes wrong
2) information of modules fitted and part numbers.

Thinking that an Auto-Scan is only about fault codes is misguided.

You must have missed this line of thought from the OP: "Prices are better for TJL also there is no many QAX on the market"

You wouldn't have needed to answer so rudely if you'd read and understood what he was asking. He doesn't know if the boxes are the same or not, hence the question.

Well I did some reserach and due system42 in VW gearbox TJM is suitable for 20 176kw TDI engine (VW483 Project ). QAX was produced till 2014 and last Sw came in same year. This TJM Gearbox has first use in 2017/2018 so it is newer gearbox.
mine is 0DL 300 011 and TJM is 0DL 300 013

QAX 0DL300011 PASSAT
RCG 0DL300011H PASSAT
SDR 0DL300012F PASSAT
TFT 0DL300012R ARTEON
TJM 0DL300013
RWU 0DL300011Q ARTEON
TFS 0DL300012P TIGUAN
TJG 0DL300012S PASSAT
QBA 0DL300011B TIGUAN
TJL 0DL300012T TIGUAN
FTF ARTEON
All are compatible with each other, no matter how you want to use them mixed. Continental-Bosch Mechatronic can be mixed as you wish on box. There is no problem with the TJM BOSCH to QAX CONTI box. This is absolutely certain. Everything has been tested. It doesn't matter what version of the engine software is on there are different ones CUAA from 2015-2020. You just have to adapt the immo if you are not using your own box Mechatronic.immobiliser adaption The immobilizer adaptation is also suitable for all variants - 2014-2018.2017-2019.2018-2021 speedometer blocks. tested. Iron on all boxes the same .with some magnets and internal improvements. The difference lies in the mechatronics manufacturer and the software that is compatible with them. Conti has different software and compatibility, for example, QAX and RCG 0DL300011-0DL300011H are suitable for both software, you just need to flash (tested). You can flash all Bosch software with mechatronics on Bosch ones.

Hello
thanks for response, it means that I have couple options :

1, change gearbox nut leave my origin mechatronic modul
2, change gearbox like whole unit and than learn IMMO

my choice would be I think the second one. I have ODIS with online possibility.

continental mech is better then bosch.google it little about bosch pressure sensors. if you get newer box then yours but bosch mech then you can swap mechartonic only electonic part tcu to newer solenoid unit they match too .qax has solenoid block 0bh325025L or K but bosch has a 0bh325025P this is P end solenoid unit has a little smoother.

& used parts you can adapt immo only one time for unit what was not online after 2020 year. all unitst what is registrered-adapted online after 2020 can not be adapted without approval.
