Hey Guys,
What does this mean?
"Requirements for output test not met"
(How do I paste a screen cap into this message?)

What Output Test? In what module? In what car? Under what conditions? What does this mean?
"Requirements for output test not met"
It means your ECU is unwilling to run the Output Test sequence under current conditions. So let me repeat:What does this mean?
"Requirements for output test not met"
Under what conditions?
The software in the ECU, perhaps. But VCDS certainly isn't prohibiting that access. We (Ross-Tech) have no influence or control over the circumstances that the ECU allows or prohibits things. All VCDS can do is request that the ECU does a test (or a sequence of tests). If the ECU refuses for some reason, all we can do is report the reason. My GUESS is that the software won't allow access to the components to do those tests UNLESS everything is working right.
Just some friendly advice to a member, I wouldn't go "clicking around" the software as you may click the wrong tab (or misinterpret a statement) and have to pay a visit to the dealer (no choice) ; plenty here ,usually non members, have ended up doing a non-reversible request (click).I have no idea how many ways one can get to that set of tests.
I don't recall which buttons I pressed to get there.
I see your point clearly there with Xentry - it will guide you better.Thing is, I was merely attempting to access bi-directional controls to see if I could test the Aux Air Pump & Solenoid Valve.
That's what I would do on a Benz with Xentry, no biggie, 5 minutes and 'I'm in'.

It is not youMaybe I should have said that the diagnostic software couldn't access the bi-directional controls b/c the STUPID VW control module was somehow broken in a way that was impossible to connect to.
Ido not VAGso see all things sold in Europe
It is not you
I do not VAG so see all things sold in Europe
VAG are one of the awkward ones when it comes to Output tests !! Regardless of the Scan tool - Same with Bosch, Snap On, Launch
You wont - It is the software not just the hardware !!But for the life of me, I still can't figure out how to make it work like a Pico!
Thanks for the affirmation.
I do not specialize in anything.
Whatever comes my way, I fix it, and I fix it RIGHT.
I used to be a VW man...back in the 70's thru 80's.
But when I saw VW 'OEM' over-the-counter at the stealership parts coming from sh*t sources, that was my cue to 'bail' on VW.
But VW owners sure luv their rides, so I fix them when they bring the to me.
Incidentally, I bought a scope from Rotkee (it's Ukrainian).
But for the life of me, I still can't figure out how to make it work like a Pico!
Who can afford a $6k Pico?
Any of you every use a Rotkee with MTpro4?
They make some of the best test leads I've ever used.
Which Pico? You wont - It is the software not just the hardware !!
I use a Pico - it is ideal !!
With the accessories etc I dont know but near 8k - I guessHow much did you spend on it?
Yeah, well, you got the good one.I have the 4823 8 Channel with common Ground, NVH, WPS
I have had money put by for the 4 Channel with Floating grounds for the last 5 years - so far not needed it
