Recently had vehicle returned after having Reconditioned engine fitted. Engine, Turbo, Fuel Pump (high Pressure), Reconditioned Injectors, EGR Valves, Glow Plugs and DPF Cleaned. Vehicle ran ok initially, while taking it for it's annual test (here in the UK) dropped into Limp Mode, Glow Plug Light Flashing and EML came on. Ran a check and it had a load of faults but put most of them down to battery being removed and perhaps 'old' faults listed in ECU. Cleared them all off but only got a relatively short distance before it happened again. Cancelled test and returned home. Cleared off the fault, again, ran it up on the drive and even kicked in stationary. Mechanic is coming Saturday to check it out but any suggestions welcome.

This is the actual fault, however further investigation today shows that the engine runs for a short while then the fuel pressure 'spikes' and immediately goes into limp mode. You can see the spike at 1741000 hPa when it should be 7 was running around the 988000 hPa. Checking back through the components leads to the probability of a pressure sensor in the fuel rail being faulty?
Fitting a new fuel rail with 2 new sensors in the next couple of days and see if that resolves the problem

Either the pressure sensor, or the regulating valve that's there to bleed off excessive pressure.
