Have a 07 GTI, passenger side HID went out, replaced with new, did not seat the ignitor properly it seems and fried it. Replaced with new bulb and ignitor, no luck. Seems the ballast fried as well, changed the ballast and now the HID bulb stays on, will not turn off even when car is off.
From what i have researched it is probably the CECM. I have found a used CECM from another 07 GTI with HID lights, haven't tried to swap as yet because unsure if it needs coding. Can i re-code with VCDS Lite or do i need registered version? Also heard that if i just swap out CECM the immobilizer gets triggered and car gets locked out even if you put the old CECM back in. Any direction would be great. I have not purchased the VCDS as yet.

VCDS-Lite isn't going to work on a 2007 (Mk.5) GTI. That car needs a direct CAN bus connection for diagnostic communications.

auto scan, I have the ignitor unplugged when I did this scan. Will post again when I plug it back in and scan again, kid is out with car right now

Code:
Removed. Data from a clone/pirate copy of VCDS is not acceptable in Ross-Tech's forum.
