On modern VW/Audi cars, pin 1 in the OBD-II socket is Terminal 15 (switched power). This is used by the factory tool to determine whether the ignition is on at any given point.

Next, you have been told this is likely a wiring issue. You asked how to get wiring diagrams. Did you get them? Are you using them along with a multimeter to figure out why you do not have power where you should?
What magic are you expecting from the members of this forum who are trying to help you? You write:

It wasn't showing for some reason, maybe a glitch in the matrix lol.
Hi, I have carried out another scan after clearing codes. This is the current log and its a bit different. Vehicle still will not start and ignition lock goes thru a series of trying to release the informs on the info display to move the steering wheel and the yellow steering wheel symbol appears on cluster. Hope this might help in some suggestions?

Hi, I was able to clear out previous scan and tried to start vehicle. Sill no luck starting and no ignition lights but vehicles steering lock still tries to release and after a short cycle its still shows a yellow steering wheel on dash and a message to move steering wheel is displayed.

I can see at the end of the log that battery voltage it 12.3 v or there abouts and yes ign voltage is 0.1v my other question is the coding on address 09 is displaying zero's. I would appreciate it if someone could take a look and give your thoughts.

I have checked the 4 pin connector at the push/start button ( car does not have a ignition key start)
below is my readings and just concerned about the reading i am getting on pin 2 of the Push/start button.

Terminal 1 = A Good earth as it should
Terminal 2 (KL58) Is only showing 9.89v when button is pressed to start vehicle. (Test was done with Multimeter) by back probing either terminal 3 or 4 (signal wires from KESSY Module) and terminal 2. If i disconnect the start/stop switch plug when its happening the voltage drops to 1.66v for a timed period of 30 seconds the drops to 0.v. I have also check this pin to body earth and get no resistance.(This wire goes directly into the KESSY module)

Hi Bruce, Granted on what your saying and my apologies. Your 100% right, I am definitely a little frustrated and also over whelmed at the same time.
I haven't used forums like this before and trying to navigate my way thru this. I can understand your logic around terminal 15 and correct it is not powering up. My concern is because the electronic steering lock will not release it causes no ignition and shuts down for safety reasons? I have done a recent post regarding the PUSH/START button as this vehicle doesn't have a actual ignition switch/Key and terminal 2 on the Push/Start Button has a voltage issue.
I paid and printed a wiring diagram from eRWIN VW for this (ages to Navigate that LOL)and from what i can see this wire goes directly into the KESSY Module. If you could be kind enough to take a look and advise if you can. That would be appreciated.

I understand you probably deal with this everyday and your comments where more than likely justified.
I see your point about a power issue and Pin 1 at the OBD is 0v. Terminal 15 is not powering up either.
Based on my last feed regarding the Terminal 2 on the Push Start button. Could this be an issue causing the above concerns or do i need to look else where?
Once again, I am sincerely sorry for my remarks and understand you will help where you can. I am willing to do the work with a little guidance if that's ok.

My guidance is the same as it was in post #2: You need to get a wiring diagram for this car and use it to pursue the problem.

Sorry, I am not going to pull a wiring diagram for your car and trace through it on your behalf in an attempt to answer that question. Yes, I understand it would be helpful to you if I did that, but if I did that sort of thing every time it was helpful to somebody here, I wouldn't have time to eat, sleep, or bathe.

Hi Uwe i can understand that. I have pulled a wiring diagram from Erwin as suggested. Im not sure if i got the correct diagrams (i did find it hard to Navigate to be honest). The diagram i got was a current flow diagram but has no information on what the readings should be! If i have navigated wrong can you give me some advise on where to navigate to in Erwin to obtain the correct information. This would be really appreciated

You have to figure that out, or reference other repair instructions.
Post the section containing the engine stop/start switch and let's see what we can determine from that.

Mal, first of all, I totally agree with the previous posts that you need to chase the 12V and most likely you are the only one that's going to have to figure it out.
Second, the reason (I think) you get the message to move the steering wheel it's because the lock can't disengage. Either lock is bad or that voltage drop is causing it. Again, just a bit of info, you need to actually troubleshoot it yourself.
