You mentioned that the Immobilizer was defeated , was this ECU replaced or altered for some reason?
O2 sensor or wiring?

When I bought the car I bought it not running and person I got from thought was issue ecu so that put a random one in. Actual issue was timing belt sheared.

It appears the PN for the ECU in your car presently is for a 2014-2015 Jetta ; well at least according to this link:

That may explain your concern, but I'm not sure. One letter different suffix can make a difference if the replacement ecu was not flashed with your original data.
I recently had this service (Immo. defeat) for a replacement ECU ; the member who did the transfer requested that I get the exact same PN. This may be the reason (?????).

Go into OBD and read the Codes and Live data there - Do some diagnosis there.
I can't, from memory, tell you how to get in to that in VCDS - Hopefully someone here can guide you ??

Just Had a freind come over that has an 11 jetta put ithe ecu in his car and it throws same code b1 s2 no activity after driving a few miles! I just ordered another ecu and sending it to have immo deleted.

I'm not certain, but I think your original ECU was a "AA" ; others will verify.
